The viral diseases are the worst diseases which damage the development of birds fostering and cause great loss. However, there is no effective medicine to cure the viral diseases at the moment. Interferon plays a very significant role in the prevention and treatment of the viral diseases. Interferon was discovered by Britain virus biologists Alick Isaacs and Swiss researcher Jean Lindenmann when they used chick chorioallantoic membrane to research the interference phenomenon of influenza virus. Interferon is produced by cells infected by virus which can effect other cells and disturb the replication of virus. Interferon is resembled hormonal protein which can induce human and animal cells to produce many kinds of broad spectrum antiviral protein. Interferon has many kinds of biological activity, such as antiviral, antitumor and immunoregulation activity. Interferon plays a very important role in the prevention and treatment of viral diseases of poultry.In order to research the productive technology of interferon, chicken splenic lymphocytes were induced by inducer in the study, and the inducible interferon was collected by centrifugation at different periods. The antiviral activity was detected by means of inhibiting the amplification of VSV in the CEF.A method of using high performance liquid chromatographic to analyze interferon content was developed in this research. The content of induced interferon was determined. Compare with the method of ELISA. The result showed that the high performance liquid chromatographic to detect the content of interferon was closely correlated with ELISA.
