Since1981, the research and application in pepper cytoplasmic male sterile three-linein our country has got a huge success, and has gradually turned into the main way of usingheterosis.But at present domestic researching in hot pepper male sterility three-line type ismainly concentrated in pepper×pepper varieties,pepper (capsicum varieties type)×sweetpepper varieties is few studies.The main reason is that the nature of homozygousrestoration gene peppers resources is rarely, there are great difficulty in breeding restorerdirectly.In order to solve this problem,this test cross the resources which contains restoringgenes with bell pepper,then always choose the plants that contain50%restoring genes andcloser to the original plant of sweet pepper varieties.At the same time, make eachgeneration backcrossed with recurrent parent, introduce the restoring genes into newhybrids and breeding new restorer lines.On the basis of commercial technology abouttransferring hot peppers sterile lines,make the top-cross and backcross of backcrossdescendants at the same time,in order to shorten breeding time and speed up the breedingprocess.The test transformed sweet pepper male sterility restoring line C-9809,hot peppersmale sterility line A-0864and male sterile maintainer lines0864.Having been taking sometest about filial generation.Hoping that this test would provide reference for the followingresearching in transferring sweet pepper male sterility restoring lines, hot peppers malesterility lines and male sterile maintainer lines.The main results of this test:1.Having Formed a method about transferring a kind of sweet pepper male sterilityrestoring line which genotype is N (msms).This method is mainly conbine the top-crosswith backcross,and breed the new male sterility restorer line and keep its agronomic traits,The fertile plant rate about new male sterility restorer line has reached100%.2. Having synthesized and complete a method about transferring a kind of chilli peppermale sterility line and maintainer lines which genotype is N (MsMs). Make the top-crossand backcross of backcross descendants at the same time, speed up the breedingprocess.Transfer new sterile and maintainer line and keep the consistency of its agronomictraits. The male sterility strain rate of new sterile lines is100%, The fertile plant rate aboutnew male sterility maintainer line has reached100%.3.Having got the first-filial generation of the peppers male sterility three-line,among whichmore than96%plants is fertil.The plant fertility restoration rate further illustrate the stability of resilience.This study further proves that the method of top-cross and backcross is greatimportant in transferring male sterile restorer lines, sterile lines and maintainer lines.
