Wheat is one of the most important grains in the word. It is also one of three major grain reserves (wheat, rice, corn) in China. To ensure the safety of the grain postpartum quantity and quality, need to solve the serious problems of grain postpartum storage and processing loss. All the time, the hazard of the harmful organisms is a prominent problem demanding prompt solution in this field. Therefore, the work of grain storage safety should be looking for effective methods of early detection of hidden insects.Due to the limitations and disadvantages of the existing detection methods, a new method from the idea that biophoton analytical technology and statistical analysis technology is proposed in this paper. As hidden insect, Sitophilus Zeamais Motshulsky is the object of the study. The paper mainly studied difference of the ultraweak luminescence of normal wheat and wheat with hidden insects. The aim is lay the foundation for the biophoton emission hidden insect detection model. The paper mainly studied the wheat spontaneous luminescence measurement standard conditions and preliminary explore the ultra-weak luminescence properties of normal wheat and wheat with hidden insects. The main research contents including the following five parts.(1) Noise characteristic analysis:the detection instrument need preheated firstly to make the background noise stable, and through the test of significance and stability analysis, the calculation method of the noise in the measurement process was ultimately determined.(2) The influence of different dark treatments had been investigated. The result showed that dark treatment for15min,0.5h,1h,2h and12h of the spontaneous luminescence had significant difference, while dark treatment for0.5h,1h,2h and12h of the spontaneous luminescence had no obvious difference. Considering the efficiency and accuracy of the experiment, the dark treatment time of experiment standard conditions is set to0.5h (30min).(3) The influence of different temperatures had been investigated. The result showed that the spontaneous luminescence of wheat increased with the temperature increasing, at5-30℃the average intensity increasing slowly, while at30-60℃he average intensity increasing slowly rapid. Initial intensity at60℃is highest, and then decreased rapidly reached a stable state;(4) The spontaneous luminescence and water-induced luminescence of new wheat is higher than that of the old wheat, and the spontaneous luminescence of wheat is decreased with the longer stored.(5) The spontaneous luminescence of wheat with hidden insects had been investigated. The result showed that the spontaneous luminescence intensity is gradually reduced in the entire measurement period, and is up and down in the measurement processing, especially in eggs. It was found that standard deviation of control group is about3times that of the experimental group, which lain the experimental foundation for classifier design next step. The study provided the standard conditions for following experiments. The results of the study are lain the experimental foundation for the biophoton emission hidden insects detection model.
