In order to discuss the difference of ratio of grain to straw, nitrogen utilization, quality traits, the yeild and its components among different indica hybrid rice cultivars, so, the test was made with11cultivars which are Ⅱ You498(Ⅱ-32A×Hui shu498)、Feng da you2590(Feng da114AxFeng hui2590)、Chuan nong you498(Chuan nong1A×Hui shu498)、Ⅱ You3213(Ⅱ-32A×Shuang hui3213)、De xiang4103(De xiang074A×Lu hui H103)、Ⅱ You615(Ⅱ-32A×Lu hui615)、Chuan nong you527(Chuan nong1A×Shu hui527)、Tian long you540(Tian long5A×Tian long hui140)、Yi xiang2097(Yi xiang1A×Yi hui2097)、Chuan xiang317(Chuan xiang31A×Cheng hui177)、 Gang you725(Gang46A×Mian hui725) by optimal cast, in2009. The test analysed relationship of grain yeild, nitrogen utilization and quality traits, The results are as follow:The results defined the correlation between ratio of grain to straw and yield among different varieties, which have proved a positive correlation. Additionally, the correlation between yield and yield component as well as the correlation between yield factors among different varieties was also elucidated. High effective panicle and low seed setting or thousand kernel weight will not realize high grain yield. So yield is the result of each yield component. It was observed that Chuan nong you498has better performance in spikelets per panicle, thousand kernel weight and seed setting rate, so that reaches the highest yield among exprimental varities, followed byYi xiang2097and Ⅱ you3213.Among quality traits, the CV of chalky ratio and chalkiness was big., except that Yi xiang2097was up to third high grade of national standard at only9.07%of all exprimental varities. However, milling quality has better performace in making the high grade of national standard. Ratio of reaching standard of cooking quality and characteristic value of RVA profile of rice flour had a general performance among11hybrid rice cultivars. The results demonstrated that the main problem of rice quality is still chalky ratio and chalkiness, then length-width ratio, final viscosity and pasting temperature. The correlation between qualities and yield component was clarified, and it was found that there was a very significant correlation between brown rice rate and Milled rice rate, very negative correlation between brown rice rate, Milled rice rate and Spikelets perpanicle, Ripened grains perpanicle, Seed setting rate, negative correlation between chalky ratio, chalkiness and thousand kernel weight. Pasting temperature of Yi xiang2097was78.35℃, and De xiang4103was the lowest.The result definited that the difference of nitrogen utilization among different indica hybrid rice cultivars were highly significant. NHI was positively associated with thousand kernel weight and milled rice rate, or head rice rate. But there was a significant negative correlation between NUE and chalky ratio, chalkiness or transparency. So, the result means that effectsof nitrogen utilization on quality traits and grain yield and its components are bidirectional. The nitrogen accumulation of Chuan nong you498was17.44g/m2, Ⅱ you498was17.10g/m2and Chuan nong you527was lowest, only12.53g/m2.
