In order to convert stand volume to biomass in the provincial LULUCF greenhouse gas inventory, biomass expansion factor (BEF) should be obtained. Taking Chinese fir, masson pine, hard&broadspecies, soft&broad species as examples,95,57,102,42sample plots were selected from12countiesin CFI system (2009) of Zhejiang province. According to the average trees of plots, analytic trees wereselected outside the sample plots but similar with them, and the DBH-H equations and biomass modelswere established. Then, we compared the estimation outputs of other biomass models, calculated theratio of stand biomass and stand volume which is exactly BEF, established the relationship betweenstand stock and BEF. According to Zhejiang CFI system2009(eighth), we calculated the BEF of thesefour species in Zhejiang province is0.7453,0.8839,1.0705,1.6572t/m3, and Chinese fir forest totalbiomass is37.2154,35.1022,15.0497,0.6678million tons, uncertainty for5.532%,5.580%,7.004%,7.473%. Finally, based on IPCC(1996) carbon density default value (0.50),1m3growth of these fourspecies absorbs CO21.366,1.620,1.963,3.038t.
