The agronomic trait, critical temperature, out-crossing characteristics and rice quality of8new middle-season dual-use nuclear male sterile lines which were bred by rice research institute of hunan agricultural university have been studied, which on the purpose of providing production application technical index for the8new middle-season dual-use nuclear male sterile lines, and the research results are as follows:1. The period from seeding to initial heading of middle-season dual-use nuclear male sterile line OSH054is78days, and which with ideal plant type and tillering ability. The upper3leaves of OSH054with the characters of short, straight, wide, and the panicle traits of which are better than that of C815S. The critical temperature of OSH054is about23℃. The stigma exposure rate and seed setting rate of OSH054are better than that of C815S and the rice of OSH054is of in general quality.2. The period from seeding to initial heading of middle-season dual-use nuclear male sterile line OSH075is80days, and which with ideal plant type and tillering ability. The upper3leaves of OSH075with the characters of long, straight, wide, and the panicle traits of which are better than that of C815S. The critical temperature of OSH075is about23℃, and which with separation among different plants. The stigma exposure rate and seed setting rate of OSH075are better than that of C815S and the rice of OSH075is of good quality.3. The upper3leaves of OSH118with the characters of too long, and the panicle traits of which are better than that of C815S. The critical temperature of OSH118is about23℃, and which with separation among different plants. The stigma exposure rate and seed setting rate of OSH118are better than that of C815S and the rice of OSH0118is of general quality.7. The period from seeding to initial heading of middle-season dual-use nuclear male sterile line OSH143is76days, and which with ideal plant type and tillering ability. The upper3leaves of OSH143with the characters of long, straight, wide, and the panicle traits of which are better than that of C815S. The critical temperature of OSH143is too high and which needs further improvement. The stigma exposure rate and seed setting rate of OSH143are better than that of C815S and the rice of OSH143is of good quality.8. The period from seeding to initial heading of middle-season dual-use nuclear male sterile line OSH152is76days, and which with ideal plant type and tillering ability. The upper3leaves of OSH152with the characters of short, straight, wide, and the panicle traits of which are better than that of C815S. The critical temperature of OSH152is too high and which needs further improvement. The stigma exposure rate and seed setting rate of OSH152are better than that of C815S and the rice of OSH152is of good quality.
