Effects Of Mixing Volcanic Gravel Into Soil On Growth,Yield And Quality Of Flue-Cured Tobacco

This experiments are conducted to study the effect of by mixing volcanic gravel into paddy field soil and red soil on growth, yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco,and it explores the best mixing ratio of volcanic gravel and soils as well as the adaptive differences of flue-cured tobacco in the different regions. The author hopes that this study can provide scientific evidence to help guide tobacco cultivation and application of volcanic gravel mixed soil technology in tobacco-growing areas. The results are as follows:(1) It is argued that adding volcanic gravel into soils can be able to help the growth and development of the tobacco in four different growth stages.At rosette stage, the best performance of agronomic traits indicators are paddy fields (Previous crop of vegetables) experiment,such as plant height,leaf number.However, it is better agronomic traits of the paddy fields (Previous crop of rice) experiment from faster growing stage to maturing stage.The results showed that in paddy fields (rice)experiment,tobacco of the agronomic traits are better than paddy fields (vegetables),but it is worse than paddy fields (vegetables) after added volcanic gravel.In the summary,tobacco growth by adding30%volcanic gravel in paddy fields (vegetables) soil is the best in each growth stages,followed by adding20%volcanic gravel in paddy fields (rice)soil.Adding volcanic gravels in paddy fields (vegetables) conduces to good tobacco growth of leaf length,stem girth,the effective number of leaves,it’s respectively increased by13cm,1.5cm and two leaves in the whole growth period;paddy fields(rice) treatment is more conducive to the growth of plant height,increased13cm,but leaf width is significantly reduced10cm.The paddy fields (vegetables) adding gravel treatment results order is:30%>20%>10%,the paddy soils (rice)experiment results order is:20%>10%>30%.The best treatment is P9.(2) After adding gravel into soils,the chlorophyll content,root activity and nitrate reductase activity of tobacco did not significantly increase,especially nitrate reductase activity even has different degrees of reduction. The chlorophyll content and root activity of tobacco in the paddy fields (rice)treatment are lower than CK. The result of paddy fields (vegetables) treatment is better than paddy field(rice). Paddy fields (vegetables)-gravel20%is the best,especially its chlorophyll content is the highest in all treatment, and root activity is also higher than paddy fields (vegetables) CK.(3) By adding volcanic gravel into soil have an positive impact on tobacco diseases,yield,chemical composition and contents of the pigment and polyphenol of flue-cured tobacco,and paddy field treatment is the best.But compared with paddy field CK,total sugar and redcing sugar contents of tobacco in paddy field treatment is reduced.The red soil treatment chemical composition content of tobacco is lower than paddy field treatment. On the whole,the total sugar,reducing sugar content and total sugar/nicotine are increased by6%,4%,3%,the nicotine, nitrogen content are reduced by2%,0.4%.The red soil experiment contents of the pigment and polyphenol of tobacco are higher then paddy field experiment.The chlorogenic acid and rutin contents of tobacco have different degrees of reduction,there are decreased by0.4-8mg/g,1-4mg/g,the xanthophyll and β-carotene contents are increased by27-54ug/g,14-55ug/g only in B2F and X2F.
