In this study, two germination percentage(GP)(6872%,8288%) of Chinese cabbageseeds were used potassium(KCl and KNO3) and PEG (PEG-6000, PEG-8000) as initiator, setup a combination of different concentration and time of initiation program for priming, andthe seeds germination indexes and related physiological and biochemical indexes weremeasured and analyzed, expect to explore the best of Chinese cabbage seed priming solution.The main results are as follows:1. For the aging seeds, GP at80%to90%, it’s GP can be increased to above90%andreached97.3%after priming. The seeds GP at70%can also be increased to above80%andreached88%by priming. It’s meaningful to save the aging commodity seeds.2. For Chinese cabbage seeds, KNO3is more suitable than KCl for used as the initiator.The vigor index of Degao Chun(GP82%)seeds can be increased by62%, after priming by0.75%KNO3for12h, and the vigor index of Degao Liu(GP88%)seeds can be increased by34.9%. The vigor index of Guiyang Chi(GP72%)seeds can be increased by19.5%, afterpriming by0.25%KNO3for12h, and the vigor index of Degao Liu(GP68%)seeds can beincreased by103%. The results above are all better than KCl.3. PEG as an initiator, for GP at8288%seeds, The vigor index of Degao Chun(GP82%)seeds can be increased by51.4%, after priming by10%PEG-6000for24h, and thevigor index of Degao Liu(GP88%)seeds can be increased by22%. The vigor index ofGuiyang Chi(GP72%)seeds can be increased by32.7%, after priming by20%PEG-6000for12h, and the vigor index of Degao Liu(GP68%)seeds can be increased by47%. The resultsabove are all better than PEG-8000. The study also found that, for high vigor seeds, it’s celltolerance is more suitable hypertonic to initiator longer time to priming, and low vigor seedssuitable for low permeability initiator priming in a short time. This may be associated withthat the cell membranes of different oxidation levels have different osmotic tolerance.4. Comprehensive analysis of test design treatment effect found when the seed GP isbetween80100%,0.75%KNO3priming12h is the best; when the seed GP is between6080%, the use of20%PEG-6000priming for12h is best. 5. Priming can significantly promote seed early emergence. After the priming of theseeds, the mean germination days compared with the control generally lower, and most of thetreatment can reach a significant level. Description the seed priming advance activate themetabolic activity of the seed for seed germination and early activation of enzymes, materialaccumulation. Seed priming treatment can also significantly reduce the MDA content. TheMDA content in the seeds priming compared with controls most significantly reduced. Seedpriming can effectively repair the oxided cell membrane, enhance the vitality of the cells.
