Phosphorus is an important element in plant growth and development process, and has anirreplaceable role in agricultural production. But phosphorus is non-renewable and phosphaterock resources increasingly depleted, and the soil phosphorus mostly exist in the form ofundissolved state, low utilization rate of phosphate phosphorus limit it’s application inagricultural production. So breeding new wheat varieties with higher utilization effieciency ofphosphorus, would benefit for reducing the fertilizer input and rational utilization of naturalresources, ensuring the safety of food production, and is of great significance to protect theecological and environment. This study was about the phosphorus efficiency research of somenewly bred wheat varieties (lines) and two wheat strains with TaPHR1gene, the results are asfollows:1. The seedling characters of16newly bred wheat varieties (lines) in shandong provincewere studied under different phosphorus level. The results showed the wheat VarietiesTainong19, Jimai21and wheat lines Shannong711, Shannong4079had higher biomass, Pefficiency and phosphorus uptakes contents than the other materials in low-P level. Wheatlines Shannong737and Shannong224had higher biomass, P efficiency and phosphorusuptakes contents at high-P level.2. Wheat lines19-6-5、38-6-5and36-1-4, which had transformed TaPHR1gene, werecrossed and backcrossed with wheat varieties Tainong18, Jimai22and Laizhou137. Bymarker assisted selection,47lines with homozygous TaPHR1loci combined with goodagronomic traits were screened, and two lines P238and P258were selectd for the phosphorusefficiency identification.3. Under the hydroponics and soil culture conditions, the phosphorus efficiency of P238,P258were identified.Under hydroponic conditions, the biomass, phosphorus efficiency, protective enzymeactivity, peroxide product accumulation, soluble sugar content, soluble protein content of lineP238were superior than its parent Tainong18, and some indexes such as biomass,phosphorus efficiency are better than two parents. The biomass, phosphorus efficiency,protective enzyme activity of P258also better than its parent Jimai22, but had no significantdifference with the other parent38-6-5. There were no significant differences between the twolines and its parent in root characters.Under soil culture condition, the biomass, phosphorus use efficiency of POD enzymeactivity, soluble protein content, soluble sugar content of P238was significantly higher thanTainong18, some indexs were higher than the36-1-4. The biomass, phosphorus uptake andprotective enzyme activity and soluble sugar content of P258were significantly higher thanJimai22, some indexs were higher than the38-6-5.
