For better use of the resources of Trichosanthes kirilowii and Trichosanthes radix,identifing the Trichosanthes radix, and Setting standards of it,we had observed the roots ofTrichosanthes kirilowii in different time.And measured the The main chemical compositionof them, for example trichosanthin、polysaccharides and kinds of Amino acids. Thestudy on the enlargement of Trichosanthes kirilowii and its microsture is the first time. Usetissue section method for studying on the structure change of roots and the content of theirpowder. Use Uv spectrophotometry for Detecting of their chemical composition content.Use HPLC method for detecting the contents of amino acids.And make difference of thecontents of Trichosanthes kirilowii based on the male and female. Compare the differenceof the structure and chemical composition between different harvest times.Research on therelationship between them.The results indicate that both the structe and the contents of the main chemicalcomposition are different in different time.The enlargement of roots has some of the rules.And there are large differences between the male and female on their contents of the mainchemical composition. The results of this study are exepcted to be very useful forcomprhensive utilization of Trichosanthes kirilowii and Trichosanthes radix resources,andcan also bring a positive effect on new development.
