Applications And Evaluations Of Three Commercial PCV2Vaccines In Large Scale Pig Farm

Pig circovirus2（PCV2）is a kind of pathogen which can inhibit host immunityseriously. It is the main threat against pig farming industry nowadays. Vaccination is theonly strategy to prevent the infection of PCV2in pigs. In the presence, there are severalcommercial vaccines based on different principles, however no report regarding theirefficacies has been available yet. Therefore, our studies focused on comparing vaccinesmanufactured by three different companies, aiming at doing helps to identify the ideal oneto improve the production levels for farming industries. In the study,600pigs of15days old were used and divided into4groups, which inoculated with vaccines labeledA,B,C and D respectively. The following criteria for evaluating the three differentvaccines have used which included: antibody level, antibody endurance, pig death rate,meat feed ratio. It indicted that Vaccine B could not only stimulate the strongestantibodies, but the price is also the best among the three different vaccines. Vaccine Cwas not so ideal to be applied in the large-scale pig farms.
