The study established families of the Strongylocentrotus intermedius with tube-feet indifferent color and highly content of highly unsaturated fatty acid(HUFA). We discussed thelarval development of different families and the effects of families in growth of S.intermediuswith tube-feet in different color. The body length, body width, stomach length, stomach widthof larval and the growth rate, SGR in different temperature of different families were analyzedin the experiment, which was aimed to find the relationship between the sea urchins growthcharacteristics and the resistance ability with tube-feet color and HUFA. The results wereshowed as follows:Twelve families belong to four different hybrid categories (RR, RW, WR, WW) wereestablished to discuss the effects of families on larval development and growth of S.intermediuswith tube-feet in different color. The result showed that: larval development stage, the larvaldevelopment of falily DL2012-RW1was the fastest among the twelve families in body length andbody width; the larval development of falily DL2012-RW2was the fastest among the twelvefamilies in stomach length and stomach width. Different combinations considered, the bodylength of group RW was significantly higher (p<0.05) than the other three groups duringeight-arms larval;both of the body length and body width of group RW were significantlyhigher (p<0.05) than the other three groups during four-arms larval and eight-arms larval. Thestomach length and stomach width of group RW were larger than group WR during eight-armslarval,both of them were significantly higher (p<0.05) than the other two groups. The growthrate of families considered, growth rate of family DL2012-RW2and DL2012-WR2were the fastestamong the twelve families. Different combinations considered, the effect of growth inhybridization groups is better than self-crossing groups and significantly different with WWgroup (p<0.05). There’s no significant difference (p>0.05) in the SGR of body weight and testdiameter among the RR、RW and WR group, both of them were higher than WW group. TheSGR of body weight and test diameter in WW group was significantly (p<0.05) lower than theother three groups during the high temperature period (8-10months old), which indicated thatthe adaptability of hybridization groups and RR group to the environmental change were betterthan WW group.Use the full-sib families of S.intermedius in the growing period as the research object, testheight, test diameter and body weight were measured. A correlation coefficient and pathcoefficient were constructed on basis of the measured data, in which the edible-part bodyweight was set as dependent variable and other characters as independent variables. It wasfound that all the correlation coefficients between independent variables and dependent variable were significant (p<0.01), a predominant direct effect of the test diameter on the edible-partbody weight was observed. The multiple regression equation between the edible-part bodyweight and other characters was established as Y体重=-31.606+0.712X壳高+1.031X壳径, R2=0.923.The genetic correlation of test height and body weight was0.875to0.971, the geneticcorrelation of test diameter and body weight was0.967to0.995, result of t Test showed that:the genetic correlation between test height, test diameter and body weight were significant(p<0.01).Highly unsaturated fatty acid family (H), ordinary family (O) and control group family (C)were established based on F3generation family breeding in the laboratory. We analyzed theeffect of three families in growth. The results showed that the growth rate of familiesconsidered, growth rate of family DL2012-O2、DL2012-O3、DL2012-H1and DL2012-H3were thefastest among the twelve families. There’s no significant difference in body weight and testdiameter between family H and family O (p>0.05), both are significantly higher than family C(p<0.05).The SGR of body weight in family H were the highest during high and suitabletemperature period, family C was the lowest and significant difference appeared among thethree families (p<0.05). The SGR of test diameter in family H were the highest during high andsuitable temperature period, there’s significant difference among the three families (p<0.05).There’s no significant difference (p>0.05) in the contenet of SFA among three groups. Thecontent of MUFA, PUFA and HUFA are the highest in group H, and all of them are significantlydifferent with group O and group C (p<0.05).
