The mulberry is the most suitable natural materials to silkworm. There is a directrelationship between the quality and silkworm, cocoon production. In this paper, on thebasis of Sericultural Research Institute’s research in sericulture and special mechanicalequipment, the main problems of the domestic and foreign research status and the existenceof the thorough understanding, preparation conditions and design new chopper equipmentwas determined, and analyze and study the experiment through the material properties of themulberry leaves determination. Provide necessary theory basis for the research anddevelopment of new efficient small silkworm breeding chopper mulberry leaves equipment.The characteristics of mulberry are one of the important research topics of mulberryfield at home and abroad in the material properties, but less research about materialproperties. The cutting technology of mulberry leaves is different from other crops stems.The fresh mulberry leaves contain much water, must be chopped avoiding the naturalnutrition moisture loss. This article starts with the analysis of mulberry leaves’ geometry,and tests compressive, shear and flexural mechanical properties. Study on mechanicaldamage, summarizes the mechanism of damage. Determination of main mechanical damagefactors, such as: cutting angle, cutting force and cutting speed.The new mulberry leaf cutter uses new cutting structure and technology. The design ofthe cutter mechanism is based on serrated blades, knife disc with tooth roller feeding grooveinteraction based on the cutting blades, based on analyzing the interrelated relationship ofgeometric parameters and cutting disc with tooth and tooth row deep groove cutter the totalamount of materials, to import the balance and leaf blade in the cutter mechanism of motioncharacteristics as the theoretical basis. Serrated knife cutting edge and spindle speed isbased on the study of material characteristics of mulberry on preliminary determination.Finally, through the single factor method and orthogonal test method, test on thecutting edge type, speed of revolution and supply, to select the best combination betweenthe factors, in order to optimize the model cheson machine cheson quality and efficiency,and achieved the anticipated effect.
