The sterile line8A and maintainer line8B were chosen as experimental material,observed and analyzed microstructural observations of pepper anthers and the aminoacids Protein, and POD, CAT in anther at different development stage of MaleSterility line8A and its maintainers8B.The main results were as follows:1. sterile line8A the open measure of flower petal side,filament length,stylelength and anther length, anther width, less then maintainer line of8B. The anthers of8A were thinly small,drily shriveled and no pollens, The anthers of8B has so muchpollens The determination of the vitality of pollen and Pollen germination in malesterile line8A is0%,but the maintainer line of8B is97%and87%.2.Microsporic observation in the male sterility lines8A abortion occurredbetween tetrad,at this stage the tapetum cells were abnormal with hypertrophy,so thetetrad were extruded and broken up.3.The content of amino acids and protein in sterile line8A was significantlylower than that of in maintainer line8B;as the flower buds development,The Changesof praline and Protein in maintainer line8B kept rising,while sterile line8Adecreased.4.the specific activity of POD in sterile line8A was significantly Higher thanthat of in maintainer line8B, The activity of POD in sterile line8A kept rising,whilethe maintainer line8B decreased;but the specific activity of CAT in sterile line8Awas significantly lower than that of in maintainer line8B;as the flower budsdevelopment, the activity of CAT in sterile line8A kept decreasing,while inmaintainer line8B highter.It is suggested that the activity of Amino acids,Protein,and POD, CAT may be related with t he occurrence of male sterile flax. |
