Abstract/Summary:
In order to improve the level of production of maize/pea cropping patterns in Gansu Oasis Irrigation, by adjusting the spacing of the two crops of maize/peas, studied different spatial arrangement of mize/pea intercropping yield, water use efficiency and nitrogenthe use efficiency resolve different spatial arrangement of the basic mechanism of crop water use efficiency and nitrogen use efficiency of corn/peas composite groups, the following conclusions:1. Grain yield was greatest in two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm treatment, with its yield of12515kg/hm2, an increase of11.8%and11.1%, as compared to two crop spacing15cm, corn row spacing50cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment, respectively. dry matter accumulation of each component crops in maize/pea intercropping was fitted to the Logistic growth function.2. Intercropping had significant yield advantages over sole crops, with their LERs were>1.20among treatments.LER was increased20%-24%bygrain yield. LER was greatest in two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm treatment, an increase of3.3%and2.5%, as compared to two crop spacing15cm, corn row spacing50cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment, respectively.3. WUE of maize/pea intercropping increase53.66%and6.78%comparing to sole pea and sole maize, respectively. WUE was greatest in two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm treatment, an increase of12.57%and15.20%, as compared to two crop spacing15cm, corn row spacing50cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment, respectively.Spatial layout has increased the water consumption of maize/pea intercropping WU increase77.9%and30.08%in maize/pea intercropping, as compared to sole maize and sole pea respectively. WU was greatest in two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment, as increase of3.13%and3.80%, as compared to two crop spacing15cm, corn row spacing50cm and two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm treatment; It had no significant between maize/pea intercropping and sole pea,Spatial content was greatest in two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm treatment in co-growth period, with its SWC of16.17%, an increase of0.62%and2.63%, as compared to two crop spacing15cm, corn row spacing50cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment respectively.Spatial layout can reduce E/ET of maize/pea intercropping. E/ET of maize/pea intercropping has reduced8.23%, as compared to sole.E/ET was the lowest in two crop spacing15cm, corn row spacing50cm treatment, a reduce of5.49%and5.84%, as compared to two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment.4. NUE had significant in maize/pea intercropping system comparing to sole NUE, NUE was greatest in two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm treatment in maize/pea, an increase of22.29%and55.23%, as compared to two crop spacing15cm, corn row spacing50cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment.Spatial layout can improve nitrogen uptake of the corn/pea intercropping. nitrogen uptake was greatest in two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm treatment, with its N uptake of121.15kg/hm2an of21.73%and27.18%, as compared to two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm and T5treatment. T3treatment had significant comparing to two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment, it had no significant between two crop spacing30cm, corn row spacing35cm and two crop spacing45cm, corn row spacing20cm treatment. Nitrogen harvest index had no significant in different spatial arrangement.
