The fruit of Siraitia grosvenorii grows mainly in Guangdong, Guangxi, Hunan, Yunnan and Guizhou province is a special traditional medical and edible plant in China. It can be used to treat diseases of respiratory diseases, organism celluar immunity and high blood pressure and so on. A lot of experimental investigations about chemical components of Siraitia grosvenorii were reported, however, the secondary metabolite of Siraitia grosvenorii endophytic fungi have not been reported in any related research. The abundant and various metabolites from endophytic fungi of the plants have become an important resource of new kinds of natural active compounds with insecticidal, antimicrobial and antitumor activities. By strict surface sterilization and sterile operation experments, a total of13stains of endophytic fungi had been isolated from the seedless Siraitia grosvenorii, which of all were from seedless fruit of Siraitia grosvenorii. The traditional morphological observation and record were implemented with optical microscope. The endophytic fungi SG-69and SG-92preserved in our laboratory were cultured with liquid-state fermentation for preliminary screening. The fermentation broth was extracted with ethyl acetate and the myceliums were extracted with methanol. Their extract was slected to separate, normal pressure column chromatograph of silica gel, Sephadex LH-20column chromatography and recrystallization were utilized. The18compounds were isolated from their culture medium and thallus. The structures were identified by means of IR, MS,1H NMR,13C NMR, DEPT, the physical constants and spectrum data of compounds are comprared with the reported data. The structure of11compounds had been identified, which are4-hydroxybenzoic acid(1), bassiation(2), ethyl p-hydroxybenzoate(3), ergosterol(4), di(5-buthyl-2-pyridine carboxylic acid) copper dimethol(5), phenylacetic acid(6), salicylic acid(7), ergosterol peroxide(8), allantoin(9), mannitol(10), uracil(11), of which four compounds were first isolated from Siraitia grosvenorii root endophytic fungus. The hot issue of new drug is researched by selecting natural medicine in recent years. In most cases, the natural medicine is taken as the guide. This paper can provide theoretical basis for the production, development and discovery of new drugs.
