As an important part of agricultural production equipment, Combine harvester greatly improves theefficiency of agricultural production and the quality of work, drastically reduce the labor intensity offarmers and production costs. However, combine harvester have major problem in China, such as highmalfunction rate and poor reliability problems. The main reason can be include to the bad conditions inthe field work, the driver can not accurately determine the condition of the field, so it can’t adjust thecombine harvester in time, then it lead to blocking and fault of work parts while the load is too large.Threshing cylinder is the core component of combine harvester, however, it is also the high incidence ofblocking failure. Therefore, establishing the monitoring system of threshing cylinder to monitor theworking state of it, and notify the operator to take the appropriate measures timely while the threshingdevice work abnormally. It is significant to realize agricultural mechanization efficiency and reduce itsfailure rate.According to the combine harvester monitoring system research status at home and abroad, basedon the analysis of the factors of threshing device performance and the cylinder block phenomenon, thepaper design the threshing cylinder load detection device, which detect the threshing cylinder speed,concave pressure, transmission chain tension in the work process. By field trials, obtained a largenumber of test data,and analysis the relationship between the load of the threshing cylinder and therotation speed, the concave pressure and the drive chain tension, then select the best parameters whichcan represents the drum load to establish the monitoring system. The combine harvester threshing loadmonitoring system with the aim to control walking speed and threshing clearance and through thecontrol strategy of fuzzy control theory, it implement the threshing cylinder load of real-time monitoringand grading alarm, inform the driver to adjust combine harvester working status and automatic blockingoperations.The main contents are as follows:(1)According to influencing factors of threshing cylinder performance and the analysis on thephenomenon of cylinder block, cylinder load monitoring system has been put forward to, the warning,alarming and automatic "blocking" of the threshing cylinder bloc k fault were also be achieved.(2)Designed a concave pressure detection mechanism, a transmission chain tension testmechanism, threshing cylinder speed detection mechanism and a data acquisition system to detect theconcave pressure, the rotation speed, and the drive chain tension.(3)By a large number of test data which obtained in field trials,and analysis on the relationshipbetween the load of the threshing cylinder and the rotation speed, the concave pressure and the drivechain tension, the result shows that the drive tension is the best parameters which can represents thethreshing cylinder load.(4)Build a monitoring system for monitoring the load of threshing cylinder on the monitorobjects of drive chain tension, design the threshing cylinder load monitoring system fuzzy controller,simulation results show that the controller has good control effect.
