Studies have shown that the relationship between ring width of Pinus massoniana and climate are closely, but it still not clear for the relationship between the radial growth and soil fertility, growing season temperature, growing season rainfall,In a long time,we always focus only on resource use, which leads to management business is very extensive, and lack of systematic research on fertilization management. P. Massoniana is the pioneer specie used for vegetation restoration and reconstruction, in Changting area, which is the typical subtropical region of severely eroded red soil, because of its drought-resistant,and it has been used for vegetation restoration and reconstruction, In this study, we choose three experimental points (LYK, SDF, WSD), where are six different fertilization treatments plots. By using the growth cone,we take the four cores every tree in1.3m height from different sides. And then we measure the ring width buy using Lintab6.0, in order to compare different effect of tree radial growth by fertilization treatment, we also analyzed the relationship between the radial growth and climate by SPSS17.0.The results show that,(1) The annual average radial growth are152.9mm (LYK1),160mm (LYK2),243.7mm (SDF1),337.1mm (SDF2),159.7mm (WSD1) and338.6mm (WSD2), the values of fertilized plots are higher than unfertilized plots.(2)There are very significant differences (p≤0.01) of tree height,DBH and cumulative growth between fertilized and fertilized plots.(3) Fertilization can significantly(P≤0.01) reduce the differences of radial growth in different sides.(4)In the years of drought(1986-1989,2004), the radial growth decreased significantly, but fertilization still can significantly increase the radial growth of the trunk, and the fertilization effect is often manifested until the second year, there is "lag" effect.(5)There are not significantly relationship between radial growth and regional PDSI, the radial growth mainly affected by temperature and precipitation in the previous winter and growing season.Trees after fertilization increased sensitivity to climate change.(6)The radial growth of P. Massoniana which lived in the steep is more sensitive to climate change than in the slope.
