Ramie is a kind of cross-pollination crop, and its breeding way can be divided into asexual reproduction and sexual reproduction. The current asexual reproduction technology is able to maintain good ramie genetic characters of the parents, but it has the disadvantages of high cost, carrying diseases and insect pests easily. low breeding coefficient, effecting cultivated fields and ramie growth. Existing ramie varieties have different degree of heterozygosity which limits the seed breeding application in production to a certain extent. There are many differences in variability between S1generation of the ramie varieties. The ramie varieties which have small variation can be used for seed propagation in production. Considering breeding cost, these varieties have more advantages in seed breeding.In this research,9ramie varieties were used to study the genetic relationship. At the same time, taking "Zhongzhu No.1","Zhongzhu No.2","Ganzhu No.3","Huazhu No.4" as materials, with the method of SSR molecular marker and field surveys qualitative characters, the variation degree of selfing generations groups were analyzed. The main results were as follows:(1) The result of cluster analysis by SSR markers indicated that the genetic similarity of9ramie varieties ranged from0.58to0.80. At genetic similarity0.61, all the materials could be clustered into three groups. The genetic relationships of cultivars were identical to the family tree basically.(2)60individuals were the reasonable sample size for studying genetic variation analysis of the ramie S1generation group.(3) Molecular markers and field characters can cluster analysis for S1generations. The way of molecular markers is more accurately.(4) Comprehensive analysis the two ways, The obs_Het(observation heterozygosity)and Exp_Het (expected heterozygosity) value of the "Zhongzhu No.2" were low, indicating that "Zhongzhu No.2"S1generations variation was lesser and this variety can use sexual reproduction in the production.
