Good pig breeding and muscle quality improvement depends on the exploration of the traits and molecular mechanism that impact on muscle growth and meat quality. MRFs family played an important role in the regulatory process of the formation and development of the muscle. The different tissues and different growth stage of Wuzhishan and Landrace pigs were researched in this paper. Study the carcass traits and the meat quality of Wuzhishan and Landrace pigs. Analysis the difference significantly of the myofiber at the critical period in muscle development (in fetal period at65days). And study the MRFs family in the level of protein and gene in different varieties of pig in different tissues and different growth stage. Explored the pig muscle growth mechanism and the differences between varieties of pig muscle, which provided the theoretical basis for the mechanism of the muscle trait, provided a theoretical basis for study on the dwarf mechanism and improvement the meat quality and good pig breeding of Wuzhishan pig, and realize the wuzhishan pigs as experimental animals further. The main research results were as follows:1、The analysis of carcass traits and meat quality of Wuzhishan and Landrace pigs. The results showed that significant difference was observed in slaughter weight, carcass straight length, carcass oblique length, average dressing percentage, loin muscle area, average backfat thickness, carcass lean percentage, intramuscular fat content, amino acids and fatty acids of Wuzhishan and Landrace pigs (P<0.01) No significant difference was observed in pH value, cooking percentage, drip loss and shear force of Wuzhishan and Landrace pigs (P>0.05).2、The significance of difference of the number and the cross sectional area of Myofiber of Wuzhishan and Landrace pig in fetal period at65days on the observation in appearance. And the Landrace pig has the more number and the bigger cross sectional area of Myofiber than Wuzhishan pig (P<0.05).3、Myogenin protein expressed in skeletal muscle in fetal period and mature stage of Wuzhishan pig and Landrace pigs. And the higher expression in muscle of Wuzhishan pig than in muscle of Landrace pig. The higher expression in muscle in fetal period than in muscle in mature stage. The higher expression in leg muscle than in back muscle.(P<0.05).4、The results showed that:Except the Liver, the Kidney and the small Intestine tissues, the expression of MRFs all higher in wuzhishan pig than it in landrace pig in fetal period of65days (p<0.05). In this two kinds pig, the same expression distribution in this ten tissues as:leg Muscle>back Muscle>Liver>Lung>stomach>Spleen>cerebrum>Kidney>small Intestine>Heart (p<0.05).5、The MRFs expression level in these tissues in12months of Wuzhishan pig were:muscle>small intestine>liver>stomach>kidney>heart>lung>spleen(P<0.05).6、The expression level of MRFs increase along with the age from birth to360days(P<0.05).
