Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis Westend. f. sp. tritici Eriks,is one of the mostimportant diseases of wheat worldwide. The best strategy to control stripe rust is growingresistant cultivars. Xiaoyan9323, is homology materials of Xiaoyan6, which have earlymaturity, strong resistance, wide adaptability, higher resistance to stripe rust, excellentbiological characteristics. To identify the resistance gene(s), the varieties Xiaoyan9323andBaidatou, were done for genetic analysis of stripe rust resistance genes as well molecularmapping related resistance genes in Xiaoyan9323, Obtain the following results:1.Resistance of Xiaoyan9323tested with the prevelent races CYR30, CYR31, CYR32,SUN11-4and SUN11-11at the seedling in greenhous, it was found that Xiaoyan9323wasresistant to CYR30, CYR31, CYR32, SUN11-4, and SUN11-11. The results show that it hasexcellent resistance genes2. The genetic results showed that Xiaoyan9323had one recessive gene conferringresistance to races CYR32.3. The mapping population of F2generation was inoculated with CYR32. Six SSRmarkers, Xwmc807, Xbarc3, Xwmc684, Xwmc201, Xwmc553, and Xwmc179were linked tothe resistance gene, which were all located on chromosome arm6AL. The closest flankingmakers were Xwmc201and Xwmc553with genetic distances of2.6cM and3.7cM,respectively. According to SSR markers’ chromosome location, the gene was located atchromosome6AL. Based on chromosomal location, reactions to various pathotypes andpedigree analysis, the gene may be a new gene different from the known stripe rust resistancegenes, designated as YrXY9323temporarily.4. Two flanking SSR markers, Xwmc201and Xwmc553, were used to test42wheatcultivars from Huang-Huai River Valleys wheat region. It found that19%cultivars have thesame polymorphic bands as YrXY93235. The genetic results showed that Baidatou displayed resistance to epidemic yellow rustraces in China and had one dominant gene conferring resistance to races CYR33.
