The explosivegrowth of population and urbanization continue to promote, people in the conflict-riddenrelationship between natural ecological environments. Gradual deterioration of theecological environment of the city is a serious threat to the urban ecological security.Industrialization, over the city of harmful gases, dust, and acid rain increased, exacerbatedby soil pollution, water pollution, urban warming and urban heat island effect. Meanwhile,the forest area is drastically reduced caused by Human abuse of natural resources, thehighlight of a series of urban ecological problems hinder the further development of the city.How to maintain the city sustainable development. Humanity in harmony with nature hasbecome a people to rethink the problem.The urban forest can effectively improve the urban ecological environment andmaintaining the ecological balance of the city. The construction of the urban forest is forcities all the serious ecological problems, re-understanding and establishment of forestecosystems to improve the role and the basis of the urban ecological environment anddevelopment. This new understanding of the role of forest ecosystems contains a richcultural connotations, the urban forest culture is part of the culture of a city as a whole, isalso an important part of the culture of urban ecology. This culture is not just peoplecoordinate bond of relationship between itself and the environment, to build the value system of the people in harmony with nature, but should be an urban development conceptof innovation and the City Image. Vigorously promote the construction of Forest City, thecity embrace the forest, to make our cities more livable, beautiful, and civilized.This study selected the second largest city of Baoji in Shaanxi Province as a case.Baoji industrial-intensive, and also the rapid expansion of the size of the cities with theurbanization; while by the old industrial and backward production capacity, theintensification of excessive consumption of resources and industrial pollution, urbandevelopment and urban ecological environment this contradiction is more prominent. Baojiselected the path of development of the Forest City. Forest as the most powerful terrestrialecosystems in the settlement of man and nature, environmental conflict plays a vital role.“With the forest into the city, so the city is located in the forest†concept more and moreaccepted by the scholars or even accepted by the public context, combined with the BaojiForest City Construction features urban forest ecological value and which contains forestculture is the focus of the present study. Combined with geographical advantages of the cityand its urban ecological planning, the most powerful ecosystem of this forest land as thebasis of the entire city as a whole ecosystem, and strengthen the role of the urban forest inupgrading and improving the urban ecological environment. City forest can not only adjustthe micro-climate of the city, to keep the carbon and oxygen balance, while strengtheningthe reconstruction and construction of urban green space landscape, reflecting the urbanforest, the ecological value of green space, highlighting the Baoji city’s historical andcultural connotation and an important manifestation of the Baoji City urban forest culture. |
