Rice is one of the world’s largest food crops. China is one of the world’s largest ricecultivation area, the production of rice plays an important pole in our national economy,but the purity of seed is one of the important factors limiting the yield of rice, so how toimprove the seed purity has become a very important and meaningful topic. Thedevelopment of the leaf color marker would provide a simple and intuitive way to improveseed purity.In this study, Indica PTGMS Guangzhan63-4S was used for control sample. TheGreen-revertible albino mutant BaiS’ seedling stage leaf color and changes in chlorophyll,agronomic traits, hybrid vigour and genetic characteristics were surveyed, and the mutatedgene was located, for cloning and the application of the late provided the certain basis. Themain results showed as follows:1.The first two leaves of the BaiS were complete albino without leaf opex. The secondleaf color gradually became green since the third leaf extract, when the fourth leaf extract,Second leaf recovered green, but the leaf appeared green-white color, the first leaf colorwas green until it was declined. All of the leaves that growth in the behind color weregreen-white, the color was whiter than Guangzhan63-4S.2.The chlorophyll meter was used to detect the BaiS and the Guangzhan63-4S’chlorophyll content. The BaiS’s chlorophyll content reached the lowest level before twoleaves, it was significant difference form the Guangzhan63-4S. Chlorophyll contentincreased gradually after three leaf stage, it reached the highest chlorophyll content leveluntil it’s maturity, but it was also lower than the Guangzhan63-4S, only the gap had reducerelatively.3.Microscopic examination revealed that the fertility of BaiS and Guangzhan63-4Swas basically consistent, Both were abortive pollen type when the sterile temperature range,Selfing seed setting rate is zero; their pollen appear the normal pollen after lower thancritical temperature, at the same time both a rise in the seed setting rate. Two varieties infertility and seed setting rate has no significant difference4.That seven hybrid combinations of F1generation were normal green seedlings, inthe F2generation, the normal green seedlings: albino seedlings’separation ratio was3:1,allof that were showed by hybridization of the Bais with seven varieties.The results show thatthe mutated gene is controlled by a single recessive gene. Finally the mutant gene waslocated between the SSR markers abl43and RM3285on No.1chromosome, The geneticdistance were0.11cM and2.17cM respectively.
