Entering20th century, people began to conduct some research about agriculture ecosystem, gradually doing some reform about the existed farming method, applying suitable technologies to protect genetic resources of water, soil, animals and plants to ensure the sustainable development of ecological environment and social economy. Based on a large amount of scientific research results, people finally find an intensive agriculture sustainable way with the combination of traditional fine agriculture and modern technology, being armed with modern industry and managed with modern operational methods.With the reform and opening up, taking the advantage of superior agriculture resources and long agriculture production history, Suzhou agriculture is gradually turning from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, aiming to realize agriculture sustainable development. After the development for30years, especially the change of agriculture development thought in recent years, Suzhou orientates around four aspects:ecology, production, life and biology, continuously promoting the change of agriculture’s organizational method, layout, combined revenues, enhancing irrigation and water conservancy projects and agriculture fundamental construction, propeling the supporting reforms of the integration development of urban and rural area, finally creat a modern agriculture development way with the characteristics of Suzhou. However, the development result is based on the combination of low technocals and relied on sustainable natural resources and energy input. Besides that, the traditional extensive increasing method is the important limiting factor for the healthy, susrainable and stable development of the whole city agriculture. Therefore, in2007with the support of Jiangsu green manure planting’s policy of rewarding instead of compensation, Suzhou began to restore green manure planting to improve the organic matters in the farm soil and output ability of cultivated land, besides that, Suzhou aims to reduce the input of chemical manure.Under such background information, based on the collected and classied information about the historical Suzhou green manure planting and latest development trend of the whole city’s agriculture, after related calculation, the article analyzed green manure planting’s effect on soil carbon sequestration, energy saving and emission reduction of agriculture production and purify river water, finally getting a conclusion that fully restoration of green manure planting has inportant realistic meaning and application value to the sustainable development of Suzhou agriculture. Conclusions are as follows:(1) three years, the experimental green manure was even area can be realized at an average annual rate of soil solid carbon47.69kg/hm2, mixed with green manure area can be realized at an average annual rate of soil solid carbon83.79kg/hm2. Compared with other plants, on soil carbon sequestration of green manure skills.(2) three years, the planting green manure could promote the test of soil nutrient improved, alkali solution22.60mg nitrogen growth·kg-1,20.00mg rapidly-available phosphorus growth·kg-1, rapidly-available potassium content provides730mg·kg-1. And relies on planting green manure could can in the agricultural production to save at least1.83tons per hectare BiaoZhunMei energy.(3) three years, because the green manure planting, each hectares of farmland can reduce at least1244.4kg of carbon emissions.(4) between1982and2008, the suzhou to realize firm soil carbon amount64.19kg/hm2, solid carbon soil with an average annual is only2.47kg/hm2, green manure was even less than the experimental area and mix the soil was annual solid carbon. This may be the planting area of green manure and greatly reduced the.(5)2007-2009years, suzhou began to moderate recovery planting green manure. During this period the farmland for planting green manure could at least can save381.12tons BiaoZhunMei power consumption.(6)2007-2009years, suzhou for moderate recovery of planting green manure could decrease of at least260tons of carbon emissions.(7)2009annual suzhou NQI value of the water reached28.33, water quality is still in a serious state of eutrophication. The green manure to water bodies can produce purification, reduce water eutrophication.In the economy more developed suzhou, high investment, high yields of agricultural development model has not applicable, it should be efficient, through the development of ecological agriculture become the developed area in the sustainable development of agriculture in the demonstration. At present, suzhou is in moderate recovery period of green manure planting, government with awards for green manure and the main purpose is to reduce DongXianTian. But given the green manure in the improvement of the ecological environment, improve the quality of agricultural products, to the agricultural production of energy saving and emission reduction, and other aspects of the special and important role, planting green manure should not be limited to DongXianTian, and should be widely promotion, overall recovery. At last this paper combining the current suzhou plant green manure, the problems in the development of the future to put forward some countermeasures and Suggestions.At last, combining the existed problems in the current Suzhou green manure planting, the article offer some countermeasures and suggestions for the future development.
