China is one of the richest countries on Bactrian Camel in the world. Bactrian Camel plays an important role in both China’s cultural exchanges and economic development in the history. But presently the study on the genetic diversity of bactrian camel is not systematic and comprehensive enough. To reveal the genetic diversity of MSTN gene in Alashan bactrian camel, this test takes Desert Bactrian Camels and Gobi Bactrian Camels as the research objects.(1) The paper invertigated the amounts of meat,height,body length, weight between Gobi Bactrian Camel and Desert Bactrian Camel in Alashan, the results indicated that all thest items of Gobi bactrian camels were higher than Desert bactrian camels,there was a significant difference in castrated bactrian Camel:the amounts of meat in Gobi castrated camel was75Kg heavier than the Deserts, the height of Gobi castrated camel(176.8cm) was higher than the Deserts(174.2cm), the body length of Gobi castrated camel(149.5cm) was longer than the Deserts(147.1cm), the chest circumference of Gobi castrated camel(221.6) was bigger than the Deserts(216.2cm), the circumference of cannon bone of Gobi castrated camel(21.8cm) was longer than the Deserts(20.5cm).(2) In order to better utilize Gobi Bactrian Camel and Desert Bactrian Camel in Alashan, some histological characteristics of their Biceps femorises,Semitendinosuses and Semi membranosuses were studied in this paper. The tested characteristics includes fiber diameter, cross section area and density. There was a significant difference(P<0.05) on fiber density. There were significant difference(P<0.05) on fiber diameter.(3) Three exon and one intron fragments of the Myostatin sequence of Alashan camel were cloned and sequenced. We designed five pairs of primers taking cattle(Bos taurus cattle accession: AB076403) and sus scrofa (Sus Scrofa accession:EF490990.1) as templates. The results showed: the size of partial first exon was260bp,the whole size of the first intron and the partial first exon and partial second exon were2235bp,the size of partial second exon was329bp,the size of the third exon and partial second intron was589bp. We sequenced the third exon of Desert Bactrian Camels and Gobi Bactrian Camels and found there wasn’t any difference between the two kinds of camels, so we concluded the MSTN gene has high conservative in the evolutionary process. We sequenced the third exon of Desert Bactrian Camels and Gobi Bactrian Camels and found there was a difference from G to A at the323bp in the Gobi Bactrian Camels which is different from the Desert Bactrian Camels and the Sus Scrofa, so we speculated that Gobi Bactrian Camels has a mutation during evolution.
