To popularize this cultivation system and find out which variety is the most suitable for this new system in Zhejiang province, we studied the roles of nitrogen level and planting density on the growth characteristics and yield traits of different rice varieties under film mulching cultivation system and compared them with conventional cultivation system by field tests. The results are as follows:1. In mountainous area(750m above sea level), rice yields under the film mulching were significantly higher than those of conventional cultivation at the same nitrogen level; and as the nitrogen level increased in the proper range, rice yields increased obviously under the film mulching and conventional cultivations. When the nitrogen application amount was176kg N/hm2, the highest yield was obtained from the film mulching cultivation management. Although the film mulching cultivation management slightly decreased the seed setting rate, it effectively increased tiller number and had little effects on the number of grain per spike and grain weight.2. In plain area (20m above sea level), the yield from film mulching cultivation was higher than that from unmulching in proper planting density. With the planting densities of150000points/hm2and180000points/hm2, the yields from film mulching cultivation increased respectively8.9%and7.8%compared to those from the unmulching cultivation. Among6density treatments, the highest yield came from the film mulching with180000points/hm2planting density, which suggested that proper density is very important for the rice yield.3. In mountainous area (750m above sea level), the yields from film mulching cultivation also increased compared to those from conventional cultivation, but improve amplitudes were quite difference between varieties. Among tested11varieties, yield increases from film mulched cultivation ranged from0.08%to13.27%. except ’II you7954’ which had similar yields in two cultivation systems. In all tested trials of the11varieties.’Feng2Youxiang No1’ cultivated with film mulching had the highest yield which reached11333kg/hm2.4. The rice film mulching cultivation was developed according to above experiment results. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | rice, film mulched cultivation, yield, growth characteristics, usage amount ofnitrogen, planting density, rice varieties | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
