For the sake of studing the biological characteristics of chicken manure compost, providing the basis for the industrialization of chicken manure compost and reducing environmental pollution by emission chicken manure. This study researched the change laws of microbial quantity and enzyme activity as well as the quality of chicken manure compost by conducting the experiment of aerobic composting, The main research results are as follows:(1) In the fermentation process, the on material surface was decreased at first, then increased and kept steady state finally. The bacteria quantity trend in30cm and60cm depths was stable, while the fungi quantity in30cm and60cm depths rose at first, then fell and rose again finally, it has a sharp decline after12d. Actinomycete quantity in the depths of30cm and60cm were least. The quantity trend of3kinds microbes were relatively stable in the stage of well fermentation. It showed that:The growth of bacteria and fungus could inhibit the growth of actinomyces in chicken manure compost, bacterial had a most influential and fungus took the second place.(2) Material temperature rose quickly at0to3d, it had continuing high temperature among3d to18d, dropped at15d and then got constant state. The efficient reaction time of each enzymy were inconsistent, cellulose enzyme activity reached the peak at18d, and amylase activity reached at9d while xylanase activity reached at12d, protease activity reached at3d. In the whole process of compost, during3d to18d, it remained60℃or above for10d to15d, and it urged material to decomposed completely.(3) In the whole compost cycles, organic matter content appeared the trend of gradual decline and temperature reached the maximum temperature65℃in a short time and kept the high temperature about60℃during8-10d, and then dropped. We discovered that the organic matter content reduce from46.0%to41.2%, total nutrient content remained unchanged basically, but the total phosphorus content and total potassium content increased slightly and water content droped from35.82%to25.40%.. Field experiment had been conducted, and it showed that average height of Chinese cabbage increased0.9~1.2cm, blade quantity increased0.9-1tablet compared with the control. Individual plant weight increased12.2-17.5g, cleaned vegetables rate was1.5~3.2percentage points; average yield of Chinese cabbage yield increased209.6~281.6kg/667m2compared with the control, increasing rate was11%~13.3%; economic benefits increased173.6~245.6yuan/667m2compared with the control.
