In China, the pumping stations shoulder a very important responsibility in thedomestic, industrial and agricultural water supply, for the characteristics of largequantity, many types, wide range and rapid development. But in recent years, a numberof studies show that more than half of the energy consumed by our pump stationprojects is doing useless work, the running benefits of the pumping stations have paid ahigh cost. So it is of great significance for the development of national economy and theeconomic performance of the pumping station to increase pumping efficiency andreduce energy consumption and operating costs.The optimal operation of the pumping stations mainly refers to the optimization ofthe operating mode and the moderating of the pump operating conditions, and now therehas been a certain theoretical basis both at home and abroad. According to some relatedliterature, this subject gives some researches and analysis of the status quo of theoptimal operation of domestic pumping station, and summarizes the existing differentcriteria for the optimal operation of pumping stations, taking some criteria for example,such as the minimum consumption of energy, the lowest cost, the largest flow and thehighest efficiency, determining the objective function, setting mathematical models,analyzing their solution processes and application conditions. In addition, it also gives adetailed analysis of the criteria such as the highest average efficiency for several yearsof the irrigation districts and the use of the peak and valley on grid electricity pricewhich lead to optimal operation of the pumping stations.In the article, through linking the practical projects, the operating conditions andthe run-time of the pumping station, it has successfully applied computer techniquesinto the optimal operation of water supply pumping station with adjustable blades andperfectly complied the procedures. The development of optimization software makesthe visualization of the optimal operation come true, and also make the maintenance ofpumping station easy.This article is of a certain theoretical significance and practical value on thedevelopment and realization of the optimal scheduling system of pumping stations andis of positive significance to the economic operation of the pumping station.
