Study On The Trevo Fiber Reinforced Cement Mortar And Concrete

Trevo fiber is one of three high-performance fibers in the world today, with high strength, high modulus, good weathering performance, low-density characteristics. It is used widely in the life protection, ropes and other fields of applications. Concrete has been nearly200years of history, through ordinary concrete, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete after three major development, the performance of concrete has been greatly improved. Today it develops toward to differentiated, high-performance. Fiber reinforced concrete is a branch with very fast development.Before Trevo fibers, steel fibers, synthetic fibers and natural fibers have been used in the field of reinforced concrete. The same as the high-performance aramid fibers, carbon fibers had also explored in reinforced concrete and other areas, and is applied transition to commercialization. In this paper, Trevo fiber reinforced concrete areas can play in enhancing the role explored. Fiber specifications, enhanced formula, enhancement, were studied and tested.In this paper, we choose Trevo70fiber which has high strength, high modulus as the reinforcing material specifications. Cut into staple, and mix with suitable plastic materials, aggregates and other stir. Made fiber-reinforced concrete composite sample and tested it. And through experiments comparing the effects of several specification to enhance staple length, and compared with the PVA fibers. Test found that Trevo fiber by adding a very small amount that can improve the resistance to cracking of concrete, flex resistance, improve the tensile properties of concrete, to improve the flexural properties of concrete are also of great help.Through experiments in this paper can be found that Trevo is an excellent fiber concrete reinforcing materials, with high strength and high modulus to play its characteristics, it is limited to the high current price, which can be expect a high number of engineering requirements to be applied first.It has been described the characteristics of the Trevo fiber and its advantages in enhancing the concrete application. As a contrast, the PVA fiber with the high performance has been selected in reinforced concrete, moreover the reinforcing effect between Trevo fiber and PVA fiber was studied. Depended on the characteristics of the reinforced concrete reinforced for Trevo fiber, the prospect of this fiber in new concrete application was also described.
