Research On Control System Of Heavy Truck Automatic Mechanical Transmission Base On Infineon Single-chip

The automated transmission technology of heavy truck is the most important research in recent years. The heavy truck drivers usually work for a long time, many of them are fatigue driving. Fatigue will reduce the driver’s reflex ability and cause the traffic accident. Automated mechanical transmission (AMT) is improved from traditional mechanical transmission with adding the electronic control module. It maintains the advantage of traditional transmission such as high efficiency, simple structure, long service life and cheap cost. The drivers need not operate the handle and the clutch pedal after using automated transmission, which reduce the workload, improve the work condition and ensure the safety. What’s more, The automated transmission will make the engine work in a optimal workspace, which decrease the fuel consumption and enhance the service life. The control system is the core technology of heavy truck automatic mechanical transmission, which needs to be researched entirely. This paper studied and designed a control system of heavy truck automated transmission base on Infineon single-chip.This paper studied the structure of heavy truck automated transmission, and introduced the structure of gearbox, clutch and actuator, the mechanism and the characteristic of sensor and input shaft brake. The hardware of AMT control system design was described, including the main control module, the sensor signal processing module, the magnetic valve drive module, power module and communication module. The general plan of the software of AMT control system was described and the gear position program, the start control program, the upshift and downshift control program were studied comprehensively. Finally, the control system was tested by automated transmission testbed. Result shows that the control system of heavy truck automated transmission base on Infineon single-chip is successful.
