As an important means of transmission of vibration control, vibration isolation hasa large number of applications in engineering, tuned mass damper(TMD) also has alarge number of applications in vibration reduction In this paper, the tuned massdamper is applied to the elastic base isolation system to do the work. And by using thevibration theory, combined with Matlab programming, respectively analysed andoptimized the single degree of freedom vibration isolation system with TMD andMTMD, two additional degrees of freedom vibration isolation system with TMD, andget the effect of the impact of vibration isolation system parameters.The dissertation is divided into three parts: firstly, the basic principle of vibrationisolation and mechanism and parameter optimization design method of TMD andMTMD and is introduced and discussed in this paper, by using numerical simulationmethod, the effects of TMD mass ratio, frequency ratio, damping ratio on thevibration reduction effect was studied.Then, single degree of freedom isolation system with TMD and MTMD based onelastic foundation, two degree of freedom vibration isolation system with TMD basedon elastic foundation are physical and mathematical modeled. The influence of TMDmass ratio, frequency ratio and damping ratio to the single degree of freedomvibration system on elastic foundation with TMD system was discussed.As an extension of TMD, MTMD, in this paper, the effect of MTMD with totalmass ratio and different numbers and the same mass ratio of each TMD with differentnumbers under the optimized conditions for the isolation system is focused on theforce transfer rate. Then the vibration isolation performance of vibration isolationsystem with based on different frequencies are analyzed.Not only the vertical vibration isolation, the rotational vibration is also consideredin the vibration isolation system with two degrees of freedom. By adding TMD to thetwo degree of freedom vibration isolation system, the control of both freedoms wereexpected. The optimization simulation of force transfer rate shows that the additional TMD orMTMD in the vibration isolation system can get good effect on the vibration isolationsystem. Especially when the frequency of foundation is in the vicinity of the naturalfrequency of vibration isolation system. A single TMD can not simultaneously controlboth the two degrees of the two degree of freedom isolation system.
