Application Of Wood In Modern Space

In the space design, because the characteristics of wood materials and structural andaesthetic values have been widely used. Chinese traditional wooden architecture high levelof technical and artistic achievements of the building occupies an important position in theworld. Similarly, as the world’s timber-framed buildings in various civilizations systembasic phenomenon in the West, but also one of the important tradition.In this paper, a study on the application of modern space designed in wood from theconstruction sector. First, the traditional wooden architecture in the West to sort out,explore the logical relationship between material and form, thought-provoking material forwood-based architectural forms specific attributes, thereby forming a research base. Thenselect representative works of modern wood construction, timber applicationcharacteristics are summarized in the modern space.
