Excavation is a complex, comprehensive geotechnical work includes a series ofprincipal theory and specia engineering methodologies such as the geotechnicalengineering investigation,the structural design of retaining and riskless protection forexcavations, the design of dewatering and drainage, excavating and construction ofretaining as well as the protection structure, excavation monitoring, and surroundingsprotection, around excavations, and so on.Foundation pit supporting design is one of the core content of foundation pitengineering, which studies the interaction relationship between artificial retainingstructure and rock-soil body load or the surrounding environment. It is bound up withsite engineering geological conditions, hydrogeological condition and otherenvironmental conditions with a strong regional.Foundation pit supporting design mainly contains two parts, selecting supporttype and supporting design calculation. It experiences a development process fromsimple to complex, including the initial slope excavation, simple support, all kinds ofpile, interior bracing, underground diaphragm wall, and so on.Traditional foundation pit supporting design method checks the stabilityconsidering the limit state of rock mass and supporting structure, on the basis ofmeeting the ultimate bearing capacity. It includes static equilibrium method andelastic support method also called continuous beam method, in view of the differentsupport types.With the surrounding environment conditions being more and more complex, thedisplacement demands to foundation pit surrounding soils is becoming more and morestrict, lead to foundation pit supporting design developing from stability controldesign to deformation control design. So the traditional design method, taking limitequilibrium state design as the core, shows obvious shortcomings under deformationcontrol design request. The introduction of the finite element analysis method is expected to simulateand analyze the foundation pit supporting, and obtain the stress and deformationcharacteristics of supporting structure and soil, then put forward targeted optimizationmeasures, finally get a more safe, effective and economic support design.This article retrospects the development situation about soil pressure calculationand numerical simulation of foundation pit support at home and abroad, brieflysummarizes the characteristics and applicability of commonly used foundation pitsupport type, simply introduces the design calculation method with foundation pit soilpressure load and different support types, particular explains process and method ofthe finite element numerical simulation to foundation pit engineering, includinggeometric modeling, loaded and solving, and reprocessing analysis. Finally conductthe finite element numerical simulation calculate to the Guo Guang An Fu urbancomplex deep foundation pit engineering in Nan Chang, and analyze pile shearingforce, bending moment and deformation, ground surface settlement and bottom heavecharacteristics according to the computed result. The analysis shows that the finiteelement numerical simulation research can completely optimize the foundation pitsupporting design by introducing foundation pit supporting design process. |
