There are many tall structures in real life. Wind turbine is one of the high-rise structure. Nowadays, the safety of structure has been closely linked with people’s life in the development of wind energy. High-rise structure is a kind of structure with high altitude, long and thin shape, which determines the dominating load of high-rise structure is wind load. With the development of technology, the wind turbines are now developing towards the large-scale direction. The size of blade and tower is increasing. In order to protect the safe operation of the wind turbine, the dynamic response analysis under wind load has important significance.This paper firstly introduced the basic concept and basic characteristics of wind load, described the role of wind on structures and studied the calculation method of wind load. According to the appearance of the structure characteristics, the finite element model of a wind turbine was established based on a kind of1.5MW large-scale horizontal axis wind turbine by ANS YS software. Combining with the Code for Design of high-rise Structures and time history simulation of fluctuating wind, the responses of wind turbine under the equivalent static wind load and dynamic wind load were studied. The main work as follows:1. For considering the influence of the foundation stiffness and the blade of wind turbine structure, three kinds of finite element models of wind turbine with horizontal axis was established by using the finite element software ANSYS. Through the study on its inherent characteristic, each model of the vibration frequency, vibration mode and natural characteristic parameters were obtained.2. Based on the Code for Design of High-rise Structures, the equivalent static wind loads of wind turbine under two kinds of working conditions are deduced. The quasi static response of wind turbine under the equivalent wind load was calculated by using the finite element software ANSYS. The results of response were analyzed and compared with each other.3. This paper introduced the method of simulation of a fluctuating wind load. The Davenport wind speed spectrum is chosen as target spectrum, the wind is simulated along the height of wind turbine by linear filtering method using MATLAB simulation program, which provides the simulated wind load for the study of the dynamic response of a wind turbine. According to the simulation of wind load, the response of displacement, velocity, acceleration and the stress distribution of the structure can be obtained by dynamic response analysis of wind turbine.4. Comparing with the response results under the static method and dynamic time history method, which indicate that the structure under dynamic wind load time history analysis has important significance.
