Time-interval measuring instrument is key to high detonation speed detector of powder grain,existing instruments can’t meet all the following requirements, such as high resolution multi-channel,wide range,portability,USB data storage. Among them, high resolution and multi-channel are not only primary indicator, but also the difficulty of instrument design Combiled the advantage of high-speed FPGA on parallel high-speed digital logic processing and with the advantage of ARM on man-machine interface design, a time-interval measuring instrument with high resolution, multi-channel, touch screen and USB data storage is designed.Firstly, the time-interval measuring methods are analyzed.According to the design index of the instrument, technical difficulties and high detonation velocity experiments Application Features.The overall design that contains hardware circuit design, the time-interval measuring algorithm design, application program design is completed.The core of Instrument hardware circuit design is FPGA parts and the signal of electric probe, the peripheral circuit includes reset circuit, serial interface circuit, voltage conversion circuit etc; Time-interval Measuring algorithm uses direct counting method and delay line method, the coarse timer based on circulatory D flip-flop delay line counts the number of the crystal oscillator periods and fine timer based on Lcell delay line acquires tiny time of beginning and ending of timing, the implementation of Application program based on ARM platform adopts the WINCE embedded operating system, with parameter setting, data display, save, copy, and other functions, It can work both in normal mode and in self-inspection mode, and has many characteristics such as portability, friendly interface etc.Finally, The instrument is debugged and tested through high detonation speed detector of powder grain, the results show that the measuring instrument meets the measuring range of 1ns-1s, resolution of Ins,32channels and other design requirements...
