In this thesis, based on the design of a130+85m span unusual single tower and single cable plane cable-stayed bridge, free vibration characteristics and seismic response are investigated, the effect on seismic response of the pile-soil-structure interaction and the tower-beam connection are calculated respectively, the stress distribution of orthotropic deck is analyzed.Firstly, the development and application of the single tower cable-stayed bridge as well as the typical domestic and international advance of seismic research are reviewed. Meanwhile, three dimensional finite element models of a single tower cable-stayed bridge with and without the pile-soil-structure interaction are established respectively by utilizing finite element software MID AS/CIVIL. Free vibration characteristics of these two models are analyzed and compared. Three structural systems of main tower-beam-consolidation, two tower-beam-consolidation and none-tower-consolidation with the pile-soil-structure interaction, are established and the influence of three structural systems is studied. At last, a full bridge finite element model(470000elements) based on integrated element is established by the finite element software ALGOR. The stress distribution of orthotropic deck under the action of the standard vehicle load and the checking load is displayed respectively, and the stress amplitude under the action of the standard fatigue vehicle is analyzed.
