Power system simulation software PSASP is powerful and with users, but till now, PSASP can be only used offline. Commonly used power system online simulation software such as EMS and ADPSS, due to their cost, with less users. To solve this prolem, we developped the data interface and caculation interface of PSASP by the C#, the SCADA data after state estimation were imported into PSASP’s databases and the different PSASP calculation modules were called to analyze the data we imported through the interfaces, by these we developped the technology of PSASP’s online application and an assistant decision-making system based on predictive grid data were developped. PSASP’s online application came true offered a good platform for developping and applying the new online technologies of the grid, meanwhile, it unified with the existing grid offline computing and analying platform, provided better data support for more studies in PSASP.The power system’s operating environment is more and more complicate with the grid-scale’s growing, how to deploy the UVLS and UFLS as the third defense of the grid’s safe and stable operation become more important. At present, the staff of the grid commonly do a lot of simulations to deploy the scheme of the UVLS and UFLS. This metod’s workload is huge and couldn’t found the best scheme sometimes, meanwhile, the grid’s staff usually deploy the scheme of the UVLS and UFLS separately, ignoring the voltage and frequency could fall at the same time when there’s a fault in the grid, the equipments of the UVLS and UFLS could act together and lead over-cut. To solve this prolem, we analyzed the processes of the UVLS and UFLS test in the PSASP deeply, made the program control the tests of UVLS and UFLS come true by the interfaces developped before. On this basis, we used the branch and bound method and the PSO method in the IEEE36nodes system to do the UVLS optimized setting, proved the effectiveness of our method by comparing with the traditional UVLS scheme;The demensions of the UFLS’s load-cut is more, we used the improved PSO method in the IEEE36nodes system to do the UFLS optimized setting which based on the optimized UVLS scheme to avoid the optimizing result fall into part optimal, proved the effectiveness of our method by comparing with the traditional UFLS scheme. At last, we used the technology of UVLS and UFLS optimized setting into a real grid, proved the the technology’s effectiveness by compared with the traditional schemes and its practical value.
