Yunnan Naxi architecture is not only the carrier of the Naxi culture, but also the Naxi people’s spiritual sustenance. With the city’s progress, the timber structure is replaced by reinforced concrete structure, adobe is replaced by brick. The Naxi architecture is experiencing a hitherto unknown challenge. But, it is satisfied to sustainable development of inheriting and carrying forward the reasonable part of Naxi architecture.Research of traditional timber architecture has been taken in many years. But, results depth of residential architecture is still limited:The stiffness impact of the adobe walls have been ignored in existing studies; the timber structure have been researched only has single floor; the height of timber structure is under6meter. But in this research, Points listed above are not satisfied, so this research of Naxi architecture is necessary.This research is included4parts:1. Using adobe compression test to realize the compressive mechanical properties of adobe. Get the optimal dosage of straw. And get the force-displacement curve. Preliminary fitting adobe walls stiffness, provide data for subsequent finite element analysis.2. Provide a feasible method of chosen the Naxi architectural beams and column sections. On one hand, based on the experience of traditional Naxi architecture choice beam and column section. On the other hand, by a simple calculation to select cross-section analysis:Firstly, single specimens of timber frame kinetic analysis to determine the natural vibration period. And then use the equivalent base shear method to calculate the horizontal seismic forces. Get the forces of cross-section beams. And cross-sectional checked. The combination of these two aspects can make up for lack of traditional experience to select the section. 3. Using ANSYS finite element software, complete internal force analysis of the structure under gravity load and seismic action. Check the beam and column sections, based on "code for design of timber structures " and "code for seismic design of buildings ".4. Fill the adobe wall stiffness into three-dimensional model. Analyze the impact of the structural rigidity of the adobe wall. Get the period reduction factor of the timber structure filled with adobe walls.
