Overhead highline transmission is an important transmission equipment ofelectricity. In recent years, the severe weather for example scraping wind and rainimpact highline garbage discharge, short circuit and highline breakdown oftenoccurs, serious influence the safe operation of the grid and the highline supplyreliability. Therefore, we must patrol inspection highline regularly at any time,knowledge and understanding operation of the highline and surroundingenvironment and reserve changes, timely discover and eliminate hidden dangersand prevent the happening of the accident.This thesis puts forward a new type of robot, the robot is the use of multiplesensors, patrol robot path is driving transmission highline circuit, and this patrolintelligent robot advantage is able to highline work and cross the barrier. In thisthesis, the main purpose is to let the patrol robot can be independent of thehighline across the obstacles, along the highline for patrol inspection, patrol robotusing carry of CCD camera for highline to image acquisition. This thesis mainlystudies part of highline inspection robot vision system damage detection. Usingdigital image processing technology complete highline image preprocessing,using MATLAB simulation processing and analysis, will damage highline andnormal highline for similarity matching, then contrast a damage point of highlineposition key monitoring. Finally design out of highline breakage point detectionsystem.First, discusses the composition of the mobile robot machine visionnavigation research purpose, meaning, and the mobile robot machine visionsystems, focusing on the development status and key technology of independentpatrol highline robot navigation technology at home and abroad. Based on thetheory of machine vision, using video cameras from highline scene to complete image acquisition of highline, and presenting a new fault point extraction methodcan achieve.
