As the important composition and extension of involute gear transmission, less-teethgear transmission have many advantages, such as large single stage transmission ratio,compact structure, light weight, which is suitable for the situation including the small andmedium-sized power transmission, the large transmission ratio, the medium and large modulegear transmission especially. But for less-teeth gear transmission, the existing design data arevery few, which has been making certain difficulties for the application. On the basis ofsummarizing the research data of less-teeth gear transmission group of shaanxi university oftechnology and peers, design some problems of less-teeth gear transmission, includingstrength, parameters selection methods, reliability design and GUI, are studied in this paper.The main contents of this thesis are as follows:On the basis of summarizing and analysing strength material of less-teeth geartransmission, calculated formulas and design formulas of less-teeth gear transmission strengthare put forward. The formulas can be calculated by computer on the basis of MATLAB, whichavoids the complex calculation process.On the basis of previous studies on the e-limiting chart used to select the modificationcoefficient of the less-teeth gear, the further research about it is studied.; Due to thelimitations of the e-limiting chart and the needs of design, the method of comprehensiveselection about parameters is studied; Combining with optimization principle and algorithm,the problem of parameters optimization design is studied. The problem of parametersselection for less-teeth gear transmission design is solved by three methods above.Through analysis of limiting conditions of spur gear design and parameters selectionmethods, Design problem of less-teeth spur gear is studied primarily.Reliability of the design of less-teeth gear transmission is analyzed on the basis of ADAMS.Because of the complexity of design and analysis for less-teeth gear, combining with various aspects of theoretical knowledge of less-teeth gear, graphical interface design andanalysis software is developed based on MATLAB.
