Motor is a major power part of the whole industry, military and civilian sectors. With the further development of energy saving emission reduction policies in China, the energy efficient motor will gradually replace other high energy consumption and low efficiency motors, and become the main power source in the future. Permanent magnet synchronous motor as one of the most widely used energy efficient motor, its high performance control strategy research will become more and more important, which is also one of the most popular research topics in the power electronics and electric drive field. Through the analysis of main control strategies and application of advanced control theory for permanent magnet synchronous motor, this paper added the internal model control principle and SVPWM technology into direct torque control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor, and did the comparative study of simulation and the experiment validation of the improved control strategy.First of all, this paper established the mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor in the three-phase static A-B-C coordinate, and then established in the two-phase static a-β coordinate and in the two-phase rotating d-q coordinate. Through the analysis and derivation of the mathematical model, it constructed the direct torque control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor, and made the modular analysis of the system, and then provided some theoretical basis for the introduction of improved control strategy and the design of internal model controller.Second, the article focused on space vector pulse width modulation technology and internal model control principle as well as the design steps of controllers. In order to improve the direct torque control strategy of permanent magnet synchronous motor about the worse performance of torque ripple and low speed, it introduced both theory into the direct torque control system of permanent magnet synchronous motor, and then builded the internal model direct torque control system for permanent magnet synchronous motor. In the MATLAB/Simulink software environment, the paper made the comparison study of simulation between the improved control strategy, the traditional direct torque control and vector control, and then verified the correctness and superiority of the improved control strategy.Finally, with a1.88kW AC permanent magnet synchronous motor as the control target, a TMS320F2808as the core controller, two type level voltage source inverter circuit as the main topology circuit, the article constructed the model direct torque control system for permanent magnet synchronous motor of the experimental platform, and then introduced the hardware system of the overall framework and the design idea of multiple modules and its principle diagram. It also expounded the main program and interrupts service subroutine design of the system as well as its flow chart, and then given the rotor initial position detection and speed measurement algorithm is given, and obtained the relevant results in the process of experiment and analysis at last.
