Imaging spectrometer is a kind of optical remote sensing instruments, which acquires the imaging and spectrum on the target. It becomes an important part of new system of photoelectric imaging technology because of the capacity of acquiring imaging and spectrum. With the progress of science and technology,the scientists developed a variety of imaging spectral instrument based on different principles,and had been widely applied in space remote sensing and the exploration of ground, etc. However, there are different methods of detection and assessment for imaging spectral instruments, which brings the difference in the methods of assessment. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out the performance research on the detection and evaluation of imaging spectral instruments.The paper studies on the grating imaging spectrometer. Firstly, all modules of the grating imaging spectrometer is introduced, the main performance parameters are obtained through the analysis of the modules on grating imaging spectrometer:the field of view, spatial resolution, spectral resolution. Secondly, analyzing the various performance parameters; knowing the principles and instruments of testing the performance parameters in the laboratory. On the basis of point spread function, using the point light source tests the performance parameters and put forward the scheme which designs the test device. Finally, comparing and analyzing the data which are obtained by the method of the point light source and the conventional method. The reliability of testing method, the testing device is selected reasonably, and the accuracy of testing data. The specific research contents are as follows:1) According to analyzing the main performance parameters of imaging spectrometer. On the basis of the theory of point spread function, Grating imaging spectrometer is worded filed calibration and spectral calibration by the method of point light source and acquires the spatial and spectral of properties.2) After studying the test theory and method of point light source, according to the tested object, it selects the test device, and establishes2D and3D model for test device by using AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and then analyzing the main transmission components and bearing parts by the static analysis module of SolidWorks to verify the rationality of mechanical capacity.3) Using point light source testing device to test capacity and dispose data. Compared with the conventional test method, the test method and device of point light source is verified reliably. Finally, analyze the error and uncertainty on the test device.4) It analyses the influence of the spectral bend effect on the image acquisition system, and proposes the use of kernel function of support vector machine for image correction, and the alignment error is controlled within±0.5pixel.
