In order to meet the project needs at the same time be able to reduce ground handling costs, composite foundation emerged, especially in the length of the most prominent pile composite foundation, give full play to its natural soil bearing capacity, while reducing the settlement that meets the upper building construction requirements, but also reduces the impact on the surrounding environment piling, while greatly reducing the cost of foundations, in recent years been widely used in a form of multi-layer foundation and small high engineering.First of all, from the theoretical aspects, the paper discusses the development of composite foundation and the length of pile composite foundation and the achievements of some scholars, and analyzed their mechanism of action and their respective characteristics. And length of pile composite foundation is analyzed, the thorough analysis of the bearing capacity characteristics, points out the role of mattress layer and its influence factors of bearing capacity, and analyze the stress characteristic, from the general calculation method of bearing capacity of composite foundation to get calculation formula of the length of pile composite foundation.Secondly, analyze the practical engineering, is unlikely to use analytic method to complete, can only adopt the method of experiment and numerical simulation. Geotechnical engineering is the basic method of the numerical simulation of finite element method (fem), especially for the dynamic analysis of a wide range of engineering construction effect, the finite element method is very effective. Therefore, this article uses the finite element software ABAQUS auxiliary analysis of the working length of pile composite foundation, from the applicability of the ABAQUS in geotechnical engineering and the introduction of the program, get the suitable model to carry on the simulation analysis.Finally, this paper probes into the length of pile composite foundation settlement character, first from the thickness of the pile spacing, pile diameter, pile caps, cushion thickness analysis on the settlement of such main factors, and then analyzes its calculation principle, by comparing the load P and T the size of the total resistance to shear, to analyze its failure mode, on this basis, given the length of pile composite foundation settlement calculation model, shall be calculated separately. Finally, through the study of the optimization theory, the length of pile composite foundation is given a preliminary idea of optimization design for reference.
