The cascading failures of power grid are low frequency of occurrence,but the consequences of the accident would be seriously affected the people’s daily life,and also causing a great loss to social economy.In recent years,since many large area blackout accidents happened in the world,the research of cascading failures of power grid is get more attention from scholars.By starting modeling with some actual physical parameters such as voltage,power and load then modeling with complex network theory till now,the researchers research on power grid cascading failure more and more in-depth,it has important significance in preventing big area grid blackouts happening caused by cascading failures.Firstly, paper expounds some research background and the research status home and abroad of cascading failures of power grid, summarizing the development of researching cascading failure model based on complex network.Introducing the current research for most models of cascading failures, analysising and comparing the model characteristics, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the model.Focusing on the basic concepts and various kinds of research methods of weighted network model.Secondly, about the analysis of the power grid studyed by complex network is mainly based on unweighted network model, end of this paper taking the weighted network model as the research object, researching a new weighted model combined with the reliability of time parameters.This model can better identify the important nodes and lines, providing a more accurate data information to the operators of power grid when they doing operation and maintenance for the pwoer grid. Paper also uses the IEEE-30network for simulation verification, through comparing the network topology parameters weighted before and after, such as the node degree, the shortest distance, clustering coefficient and degree distribution of nodes and edges betweenness and so on, focusing on analysising the key nodes and lines weighted before and after.Finally, doing fault simulation of IEEE-30networks, computing network vulnerability parameters, such as network transmission efficiency, effective performance and connectivity, then analysis the network vulnerability.The result verify the validity and advancement of the model, providing the theoretical support,has practical application value for the evaluation and maintain the stability the power grid operation.
