Design-research About "Style Inns" Which Are Transformed From Chinese Traditional Residence

"Style inn" has made great progress in China in resent years, the growth of consumption level and people’s wealth are the main reasons that make this happen.The arrival of the experience economy promotes a change in travel patterns,and people no longer confined to the sight-seeing travel,more and more tourists show their interest to the experience travel which contains strong regional characteristics and cultural connotations,somehow this phenomenon promotes the tourism of archaic towns which meanwhile,get a huge challenge.In order to protect the sustainable development of tourism resources,and offer personalized, humane locations for the tourists,the appearance of "style inn" is a necessity."Style Inn" is often accompanied by renovation to Chinese traditional residential.Traditional house is the product of Chinese traditional culture and history,and they were spiritual sustenance of Chinese people for thousands of years,we should not let it die away but make renovation appropriately.So,why tourists show their huge interests to "style inn",that’s because not only its economic and cultural values,but its personality and style.This paper focuses on the "style inn" which are transformation of Chinese traditional residential.The writer interviewed the Lijiang dayan archaic town,shuhe archaic town,Shangiri-la archaic town and Shaxi archaic town which are the most popular towns in Southwest China,took a in-depth research about "style inn" in "find the problem positioning-case studies-lessons learned" order,studying on "style inn".Problems studied in this paper in two main parts:.by analyzing typical cases to find the problems and contradictions between traditional houses and "style Inn";by analyzing important parts of "style inn",find the ways to shape "style".
