China is an earthquake prone country, while ballasted tracks lines are widely distributed, the lines in earthquake area are highly vulnerable to earthquake. Spatial bending deformation easilily happens on railway structure under earthquake, which severely affects the function of railway structur. This article launched the research which aims at spatial bending deformation of ballasted track and running safety after earthquake. The main research works are as follows:Present situation of domestic and foreign researches on spatial bending deformation of ballasted tracks, calculation methods of sesmic response of ballasted track and the influence of earthquake on running safety were analyzed. The research idea, research contents and technical routes were proposed.Under the foundation of comparing different sesmic calculation methods, the dynamic time history analysis method was chosen to analyze the spatial bending deformation of ballasted tracks. The three dimension earthauake wave of EL-Centro was chosen as input earthquake wave and input method and the related parameters of earthquake wave were confirmed. The finite element software ANSYS was applied to build the three dimension subgrade-railway model. The finite element model was applied to anslyse the influence of paramaters of Subgrade, ballaste bed, sleepers and rail on vertical and lateral bending deformation of ballasted track so that the law of influence of parameters of railway components on deformation of ballasted tracks were gotten which could provided condition for running safety analysis.Safe indices of train body dynamics were confired.Muti-body dynamics theory was used to bulid a Muti-body dynamics model, which was combined with spatial deformation of ballasted track outcome, to analyse running safety after earthquake and safe drive recommendations were given.
