This paper proposes a practical total design plan of intelligent home.The paper develops the detailed design and proceeds the selection of hardware and the design of software according to the need of total function. To aim at the limitation of intelligent home design, it can lead into the ZigBee technology because of the far transmitting range and low cost inside home. It is convenient for constructing to home system that use solid star network as equipment model to realize the transforming from the wired to the wireless. The development platform is based on combining the hardware of Samsung2410_ARM9microprocessor with the software of embedded Linux operating system, and to central controller module and temperature and humidity sensor module of cross-compiling environment setup, software program design and application of transplant. It realizes the information collection and control to the sensor nodule. Through the ZigBee technology, each module could link closely with central controller so as to make up a set of complete system.Through the data transfer and network test from central controller to sensor module, each module works normal. The system has a good expandability and achieves desired objective. The core of intelligent home is the network sharing and self-control. It has practical significance to popularize The internet of things technical to this topic.
