In the21st century, along with the rapid development of China’s national economy and people’s living standards greatly improved, particularly in the social advances of industrialization, the population of large and medium cities have been developed rapidly, which makes growing cities in the traffic congestion problem, it’s just road traffic has been far from the ground cannot meet the needs of the urban population movement. Urban rail transit system with its large volume, fast, energy saving, environmental protection, time and economic advantages, has gradually become a solution to urban traffic problems in an important way. Due to its special structure form, in some ways the articulated vehicle more suitable for the requirement of the urban rail transit than conventional railway vehicles. So the urban rail transit system has been rapid development at home and abroad.At first, the development of urban rail transit situation in our country was described. Then the structures and characteristics of articulated vehicle was introduced, and its advantages in urban rail transit was analyzed. At the same time, the application of articulated vehicles was introduced, and according to the structures of the existing articulated bogies classification introduced articulated bogies. Secondly, the structure of a certain type articulated urban rail vehicle which is produced by a domestic company was introduced. The wheelset, framework, pillow and car body of the vehicle were made force analysis, and dynamic equations of them were provided. Based on the structure of the articulated urban rail vehicles, a2-unit dynamic emulation model was set up by the SIMPACK, and calculation analysis on its hunting stability, comfort and curving performances.The evaluation standard is mainly used in GB5599-1985<Railway vehicles-Specification for evaluation the dynamic performance and accreditation test>.At the end of the paper, it was calculated and analyzed that the influence of rotary disk articulated device four parameters on the dynamic performance of the vehicle, which were the turntable bearing friction coefficient, the radial stiffness and torsional stiffness of rubber joints, the size of turntable bearing.Finally, it was concluded that the articulated urban rail vehicle own good hunting stability, comfort and curving performance, and the articulated urban rail vehicle can even through the curve radius of30m field line. In the rotary disk articulated device four parameters, the radial stiffness of rubber joints and the size of turntable bearing is the most important, which have a certain influence on hunting stability, comfort and curving performances of the articulated vehicle. The turntable bearing friction coefficient has a weak effect on hunting stability and comfort. The torsional stiffness of rubber joints has no effect on articulated vehicle dynamics performance almost.
