With the rapid development of economy, the sea reclamation engineering hasbeen undertaken in recent years by many coastal cities with their relativeadvantages. Without exception, Tianjin Binhai New Area as an important portof China, the engineering properties of which has been paid great attention bythe scholars and become a hot research point.Owing to the huge influence on engineering induced by the structural softdredger fill, many behaviors of the formed structure of soft dredger fill havebeen studied. Because of a fragile strength during the project practice, it isworthwhile to study the regeneration procedure of soft dredger fill.Theregenerated structure of dredger fill was researched by this paper and thespecific works are as followings:(1) Through the triaxial consolidation undrained shear test and one dimensionalcompression test on the sample under the different conditions, structural yieldstress and structural strength was carried out. In the view point of macro, thestructural regeneration mechanism is revealed, and optimal external influencingfactors is presented.(2) Through the direct shear test and one dimensional compression test on the sampleunder the different conditions, the mechanical properties in the process ofregeneration was analysed, and comparing shear strength values of direct sheartest with shear strength values of vane shear test, the relationships among theshear strength values from the different experimental methods were analysed. The different increase mechanisms of soft dredged fill, which was consideringthe structure or not, were compared. The importance of structural soft dredgedfill to its engineering properties was studyed.(3) Through the micro test on the sample under the different conditions, analyzingmicroscopic parameters of different tests. In the microscopic view, the structureregeneration mechanism is revealed.(4) Basesd on the grey-system theory, the indicators of relevance between the mechanicalbehaviors and the corresponding micro-parameters were contrasted. To establish therelationship between the mechanical properties and micro parameters, the changeof mechanical properties with microscopic parameters is studied.
