Traffic load is a kind of cyclic and dynamic load caused by the vibration of cars. It’s notheavy enough to destroy the soil immediately. But it would lead to plastic deformation over along period of time. The soil around pile foundation near the bridge abutment would make lateraldeformation under the influence of traffic load and produce thrust to the pile foundation nearby.The thrust makes the pile foundation produce displacement. Then the bearing capacity offoundation decreases and the superstructure becomes unstable. Something bad would happen inthis situation. This paper makes a study of this kind of influence in Fuxin by laboratoryexperiments and finite element analysis. The work is as follows:(1) Make a digit group of dynamic strength tests and elastic modulus tests with the soilaround pile foundation near the bridge abutment in Fuxin. Get the physical and mechanical indexand the dynamic characteristics under the influence of Traffic load. And summarizes the dynamiccharacteristics of the change rule;(2) Make analysis of the soil around single rank of pile foundation with finite elementsoftware. Related parameters are from test results and adjust these parameters to debate theinfluence of different factors to the soil.(3) Establish the finite element model of pile group. Analyze the influence of traffic load tothe soil around pile group foundation and discuss the influence of the length and diameter to thebearing capacity of the pile group foundation.To find out the influence of pile soil interaction factors for pile foundation design andconstruction provide valuable reference.
